Position Details:
Title: Service Technician
Location: Houston, TX
Shift: M-F 7am-5pm; On Call nights and weekends for 1 week every 5-6 weeks.
Compensation: $30-$35/hr + $75 monthly cell phone + Company take home truck + Gas /services paid for + Paid Portal-to-Portal; (Avg 50-70 hour a week)

Travel: Primarily local travel; around 10% travel a year may be overnight.

Position Description:
The Service Technician is customer facing and will be responsible for providing customer service on service calls to conduct troubleshooting and servicing of jib cranes, monorails or overhead cranes to include top running, under running, single girder or double girder cranes. They will work and troubleshoot AC and DC magnetic controls, VFD controls and will install and troubleshoot radio controls. Will learn the mechanical side to work on bearings, gearboxes, couplings, wheels, pinions, oil seals, drive shafts, cross shafting and shaft/ coupling alignment.

Requirements:
A candidate for this role needs to be a Navy Electricians Mate; nuclear or conventional. Need a strong understanding of Electrical Theory and hands on experience. Strong troubleshooting background and knowledge of motor electrical controls. Company will train on the mechanical side of things to ensure the candidate will be successful in this position. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills as they will be customer facing. Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record.
